New F&A Distribution Schedule for Faculty, Colleges, and Centers

Research and Economic Development (RED) is pleased to share an update about the return of F&A to faculty, colleges, and centers. Starting July 2022, all distributions will occur nightly – as expenses occur and receipts are generated. This will allow funds to faculty, departments, colleges, and centers to be distributed daily, not annually or quarterly.

Since 2018, the return of F&A funds to faculty has been a time-consuming, manual process. In 2021, the addition of new distributions to colleges and centers increased the complexity of the calculations, extending the time needed to complete the distributions. Over the past several months, teams from OneIT, Financial Affairs, and RED have worked to speed up the process so that funds are distributed in a more timely fashion.
